catalogoshare

Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026 · Applies to the catalogoshare mobile app for iOS and Android

The short version

  • Your products, prices, photographs and customer contacts live on your own Odoo server. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them.
  • We hold the little we need to run your licence: your work email, your company name, your Odoo address, and what you have paid for.
  • There is no advertising, no analytics SDK, no tracking and no third-party profiling in this app.
  • We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.

1Who we are

catalogoshare is published by Mindphin Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company registered in India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Mindphin Technologies Pvt Ltd. “The app” means the catalogoshare application for iOS and Android.

For anything in this policy, write to hello@mindphin.com.

2Two separate databases

This is the most important thing to understand about the app, because it decides who holds what.

Your server

Your Odoo

When you sign in, you type the address of your own Odoo system. Your product catalogue, photographs, prices, customer contacts and share history are read from and written to that server.

It belongs to you. We do not receive a copy, and we cannot read it.

Our server

catalogoshare

A separate system we run, which answers one question: which plan this account is on and until when.

It holds your account and licence details, listed in section 3. It holds none of your catalogue.

If Mindphin also hosts or maintains your Odoo system under a separate agreement, our handling of the data on it is governed by that agreement and not by this policy.

3What we collect

Everything in this table is sent to our catalogoshare server. There is nothing else.

WhatWhy we need it
Work email addressIdentifies your account and is how we contact you about your subscription.
Name and company nameSo an account is recognisable to us and to our support team.
Your Odoo web addressThis is what an account is keyed on, so that everyone at one company shares one licence instead of being billed individually.
Whether you are staff or a customerPeople invited by one of our customers are never charged or shown a price. We need to know which you are to get that right.
Installation identifierA random value the app generates on first run. It counts how many installations are on an account. It is not a device identifier, it contains nothing about your phone, and reinstalling the app produces a new one.
Platform and app versioniOS or Android, and which build you are running, so support can reproduce a problem.
Date last seenTells us an account is still in use.
Purchase receiptsIf you buy a subscription in the app, the receipt is passed to us so we can verify it with Apple or Google and activate your plan. We never see your card, bank or payment details.
Support correspondenceIf you email or message us, we keep that thread so we can help you.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) and no advertising of any kind.
  • No analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting service.
  • No location data.
  • No access to your phone’s contacts, microphone or camera roll beyond the single case in section 5.
  • No payment card details — Apple and Google handle payment and never pass those to us.
  • No behavioural tracking, and no tracking across other apps or websites.

4What stays on your phone

To let you work without a signal, the app keeps a copy of things on the device itself. This data is not transmitted to us:

  • Your sign-in session for your Odoo, so you are not asked to sign in every time.
  • A mirror of the product rows and images you have loaded.
  • Your current plan, so a paid account does not drop to the free plan when you are offline.

All of it is removed when you sign out, when you sign in to a different Odoo, or when you delete the app.

5Photographs and your logo

The app can ask for permission to open your photo library. This is used for one purpose only: choosing a logo image to stamp onto the product pictures you share. The image is processed on your device. It is not uploaded to us, and we have no access to the rest of your photo library.

You can refuse this permission and the rest of the app works normally.

6Sharing a catalogue

When you send a collection over WhatsApp, email or as a PDF, the app hands the images and text to your phone’s own share sheet, and you choose where they go. That content travels directly from your device to the app you picked. It does not pass through us.

Once it reaches WhatsApp, your mail provider or anywhere else, that service’s own privacy policy governs what happens to it.

A record of what was shared and with whom is written to your Odoo, so you can see your own share history. That record stays on your server.

7Payments

Subscriptions bought inside the app are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. They take the payment, and they hold your payment details. What reaches us is a receipt we can check with them, plus the resulting subscription record in our system.

If you buy a subscription directly from Mindphin instead, we will hold the invoicing details needed for that sale and for Indian tax and accounting law.

8Who else sees this data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with:

  • Apple and Google, to verify a purchase receipt and manage a subscription you bought through their store.
  • Our hosting provider, which operates the servers our system runs on.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to and after satisfying ourselves the request is valid.

Our servers are hosted in India. If you are outside India, your account data is transferred to and processed there. We rely on your agreement with us as the basis for that transfer, and the protections in this policy apply to it wherever you are.

9How long we keep it

  • Account and licence records — for as long as the account is active, and for up to two years afterwards so a returning customer keeps their history.
  • Purchase and invoice records — for eight years, as Indian tax and company law requires.
  • Support correspondence — for up to three years.
  • Installation records — removed when the account is closed.

10Security

Traffic between the app and both servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to our systems is restricted to staff who need it. Your Odoo password is sent only to your own Odoo server, never to us, and we never see or store it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

11Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — and, where it applies to you, the UK and EU GDPR — you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your data, subject to records we must keep by law;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to;
  • complain to us, or to the Data Protection Board of India, about how we have handled it.

Email hello@mindphin.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Deleting your account. Write to us and we will close it and delete the associated records. Note that this removes your catalogoshare account only. Your Odoo system and everything in it belongs to you, and is untouched.

12Children

catalogoshare is a tool for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
